Entirely random. I'd estimate 45/55, if I were a betting man. > This sounds like a good possibility for a portable ops "wire in the > trees" > antenna. In fact I've used this style of antenna with no feedline at all: just toss random length wires up into trees in two directions and connect them to the two balun inputs. The 1:1/4:1 switch on the BL2 is also helpful. On bands where the antenna presents a difficult impedance, this switch gives the ATU a different way to match that is often successful. 73, Wayne ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
