I use similar antenna set up as Wayne's for my K2 during portable operation but use internal KAT2 instead of T1.
The results have been very good and operaton is trouble free. In fact I've used this style of antenna with no feedline at all: just toss random length wires up into trees in two directions and connect them to the two balun inputs. The 1:1/4:1 switch on the BL2 is also helpful. On bands where the antenna presents a difficult impedance, this switch gives the ATU a different way to match that is often successful. 73, Wayne ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
