Actually, posting a picture of things you want is well known method of goal setting. I had a handout on the K3 posted on my bulletin board for about 4-years before I bought it. Board is empty, now. Just has ARRL awards posted.
I had a picture of a Ford Explorer for some time before I bought one in 1995. Same goes for my 2002 Toyota Tundra.
