I remember working him in many phone contests with his old call, K0RPH,
using the phonetics K0 Rolly Polly Ham.

Tom was a "Amateur Radio Operator."  I think that SSB or CW makes little 
difference.  I think honoring Tom as an great Amateur Radio Operator is more

paramount than what mode should be used.

Please in the up-coming NAQP-SSB contest honor Tom Hammond....and....from
time 
to time explain why to those who ask.  This has been done before in honor of

other "great" ops.
