Another aspect of printed manuals is that the one that comes with the radio is the one that matches that radio. With products that are so well updated as Elecraft does it may be a bit of a problem several years after a radio is bought/built determining just what version of online documents is appropriate for that particular radio. Being able to write on paper notes and such is very handy too. Of course updates done to the radio over time further complicates things. I myself think that a complete manual should come with the radio.
