Don, yes I'm measuring both peak and average power. I checked IFout pwr with my HP436A both in SSB and DATA A/CW. Did the same with my Bird peak/avg meter and the 25W head at the TVTR. Mic gain shows up to 7 bars in the peak and with compression 0 or up to 20 there's no increase. Max is 0.45 mW in SSB, says the HP463A, and 1.1 mW in CW/DATA A.
