If you are using any kind of rig control with your computer (and therefore have a shield connection between the K3 and the computer, such as via an RS-232 cable), make sure the chassis of your K3 is securely bonded to the chassis of the computer with a very short length of large gauge wire or section of shielded braid. I had to go down to less than a foot of RG-8 shielded braid to eliminate all hum on my signal.
