Jim- W0EB helped me fix this, thanks. I set the rx frequency and FM mode, tapped "a>b", set 'VFO B', and then "split". It works. VFO B does not necessarily track the VFO A mode, as I learned. I think my control software didn't set up the K3 correctly when I attempted to set the split in FM from my keyboard, I will investigate.
