I noticed that my KPA500 does not always give the full power that it is set for. For example, if I turn it on,put it in operate and then transmit my call sign (in a pile up), the first few transmits are lower in power (around 50-100 watts) and it takes 7 or 8 of these before the power gets to 500W. If I then continue for a while searching for another station, the same thing can occur.
Has anyone seen the same thing?
