I use a couple of inexpensive, un-amplified "bookshelf" speakers that the K3 will drive hard enough to "knock me out of the room"! No kidding!
They are plugged into the SPKRS jack, not the Phones jack. I'm quite sure I could blow to bits the transducers in my RS "Nova" headphones or in my LabTech phones by turning up the volume too high on the K3 as well. Indeed, sometimes when I'm fiddling around in the shack, I just lay the phones on the desk and turn up the volume a bit, I can hear everything going on from several feet away. Ron AC7AC -----Original Message----- >does anyone have the same problem with low audio on your K3 >from both my speaker and headphone? My headphone output is OK (AF gain at 9 o'clock), but my speaker output has always been low (sometimes requiring full AF gain) regardless of config setting or internal/external speaker. Others tell me it's 'normal', but I don't believe that for a minute. I've learned to live with it, but I don't like it.
