Strange situation has occurred while using K3 Memory Editor to load memory frequencies for the 222-MHz xvtr.
Under CONFIG I turned on XV2 and add 222 and 28 for RF and IF and 0.10 for XV2 PWR and TRN2 but I get 22.xxx in the memory locations instead of taking the 222.xxx frequencies I entered. The K3 tries to transmit on 22-MHz with obvious out of band error. Now if I use "BAND-UP" I can go to 222.xxx and it is using the last entered frequency and xvtr settings? But when I change memory selection using "M>V" it selects 22.xxx in the memory locations that I entered my 222 frequencies. I have no problem going to 2m or 1296 memory locations with "M>V" OK there are two ways to fool a K3, so I direct enter my chosen frequency and use "V>M" and it takes the 222.xxx frequency and xvtr settings. Then I run into the problem of setting a repeater split which has to use the Memory Utility for programing. OK I fool the K3 again by reading the K3 to the Memory Utility and changing the repeater offset and then reading back to the K3. It only took me 40-minutes to make three channel entries for 222-MHz. BTW the Memory Utility does not work for single entries and I have to do a full read of all memory channels each time. Is there a bug? 73, Ed - KL7UW, WD2XSH/45 ====================================== BP40IQ 500 KHz - 10-GHz www.kl7uw.com EME: 50-1.1kw?, 144-1.4kw, 432-QRT, 1296-?, 3400-?
