Hi Rick, I dont know about the random frequency jumps, but the changing of modes is someting new in version 5.1. Some like it some dont. Me I do not like it and there is discussion on maybe in the future that there is a selection to make it do what you want it to do.
Are you on the HRD group in yahoo groups, it has become quite active since the release of 5.1 and some good information is being exchanged and some shall we just say bad information also.
