I just want to point out that CW is hardly a dead and buried mode of operation. There will be CW ops around for quite awhile and as CW ops we must "promote" the mode to others.
Elecraft's design philosophy is great towards CW. Elecraft will be one of many companies who will continue to sell CW related rigs, items, accessories, etc...for years to come. All is not lost because of the FCC's/ARRL's decision. CW contesting is hot and many people participate. CW will be around for a very long time. Operators who enjoy the mode need to be active in the promotion of CW. There are a lot of ways to do that such as: Get on the air regularly in CW Join FIST Teach someone the code Help them through their first QSOs Get people interested in QRP Sharpen your own skills Contest with CW Check into a CW Net and pass traffic I want to be CW proactive....not FCC reactive. Long live Morse...and it will be around a long time too. Lee - K0WA Common sense is in short supply - get some and use it. If you can't find any common sense, ask for help from somebody that has some common sense. - Lee Buller _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
