All true, Hank. You can't get an absolute signal report, particularly given the wide variation in antenna systems, preamps, and so on. OTOH, if you want to compare your signal to a given Skimmer over time, or with another station, the Signal Comparison Tool on the RBN web site will give you data that are averaged among multiple spots by a given Skimmer. Multiple data points go a long way toward averaging out the effects of QRM or QRN on the SNR of a particular Skimmer.
