Pondering the same decision here. In fact, I've found a "well-equipped" K3, and am looking forward to receiving it. The FT-5K is a fine, fine radio, and I wouldn't mind having one, but even after I add the second receiver, DVR and 2 FM filters (one to give me AM on the 2nd RX, which I believe will work), the base FT-5K would still cost me $2000 more. I like the looks of the Yaesu better, but not that much better...
