You will get many different responses, everyone has their favorites. I used to use HRD/DM780 for digital modes, but more recently have switched to Fldigi. HRD polls the radio too much.
Fldigi supports most all digital modes (except some of Joe Taylor's modes) If you are looking for a logger and control of the radio from the mouse and keyboard, I would suggest trying the DXLab suite. It supports RTTY and some data modes, but if you want more data mode selections, it interoperates with Fldigi. If you are well steeped into digital modes, you may want to run HamLib in conjunction with Fldigi. 73, Don W3FPR On 3/2/2012 1:46 PM, [email protected] wrote: > Not knowing where to post this question other then here > > Here it is > > Between DXLab and HRD which is the 'better' (and more importantly why becuase > better is so subjective) > > My first DX rig will be the KX3 and wonder which I should learn/use > > I plan to use digital as well as ssb. > > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
