first of all i want to thank everyone on their opinion. it will open some avenues that i was not aware of
some additional info, if one cares. my principle computer is an IMAC though i run fusion so there is no issue with a windows solution(s) i probably will not go CW, even though it would be right up mu alley, (restricted antenna) but i am dyslexic and thus difficult for me to get the code right contesting maybe in my future, but for now i just was to do some QSO, and get on the air (hopefully without stepping on any ones toes).
