I was told to report back. Ok, I told you-all before that 40 meters wasn't tuning except on the display. Well I thought all the other bands were tuning. Looks like 30 meters isn't tuning around either. I was told by Don to check left on R30. I checked and while tuning noticed that the voltage DID NOT vary. I don't have a capacitor checker so I don't know about C71 other than replacing it. It has a little monolithic cap marked "820" on it. All I have around is a disk NPO "82" that I could swap it out with, is this ok? I put the rig on 7000 and the freq. probe to TP1 and then CAL FACTR. You said it should read 11915. It reads 11341. It DOES NOT change when moving the dial. On the speaker, No AC detected. I also jumpered it directly to the speaker just to check it out. Nothing. I jumpered the K2 speaker to my small wonders lab SW+ QRP rig and it works FB.
