I can tell now that there is continuity from the speaker jack to the control board. I don't get continuity from P3 to P5 on the control board. The schematic makes it look like a clean shot. When I tried to trace it on the board point to point, I get lost. Seems like it's going through a lot of coponents. If it is a straight shot, perhaps there is a break in the path on the board. Could I rig a separate jumper wire to P5 from P3?
