Hi Paul, I just checked to be sure. The firmware is 1.13
I was at +-100 Khz, and then I pressed FN4 which is set to give a span of +-20 Khz (not +-10 as I mentioned). I just tried it again, and it acted up again. I turned on the P3, it was at +-20KHz, I then switched to +- 100 KHz (function FN5) and then switched back to +-20KHz. The SVGA screen then put the reference level at -95 whereas the P3 display is set at -115. If I now turn the reference level counter-clockwise (i.e the P3 display now does not show the signals at all and -20 to -55 is the scale) the SVGA display keeps rising the reference level up to -30. So the noise which is usually at -115, is now right up at -35. Now if I rotate the ref level clockwise, the noise level stays fixed on the SVGA screen, but the scale keeps changing. As I continue to rotate the control clockwise, the signals start to show up on the P3 but they are 20 db lower. It now continues to exhibit the funny level changes. If I now change the span it is fine .. If I try the sequence again, it doesn't do it anymore. The computer is not connected to the K3 or the P3. Now, its not doing it anymore..it's as if it does this when cold....I'll wait an hour and see. -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/A-few-bugs-in-the-P3-SVGA-tp7431371p7431501.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
