I have Gamma HPS-1a small switching supply which I use with my K2 + KPA100 as an easily movable rig. I always use it to feed a ladderwire via a balun to a nonresonant antenna. Therefore the feedline may pick up stuff very close to the power supply (i.e. 1-2 m away).
I have noticed that on 15 meter CW, I often hear a swooshing noise right after I have transmitted. It is very annoying as it comes right at the time when one listens for the other stations to confirm reception in e.g. a contest. I think it is a frequency varying noise that sweeps over my frequency as the load on the power supply changes. I would very much like to learn of a way to suppress it, Sverre/LA3ZA http://la3za.blogspot.com/ ----- Sverre, LA3ZA K2 #2198, K3 #3391 LA3ZA Unofficial Guide to K2 modifications -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/Gamma-P-S-tp7443028p7444145.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
