My bench voltage is 14 volts and battery is measured at 12.4 VDC Tried a new and better dummy load and got 3watts on both bands with bench supply and 2 watts on 40M and 3 watts on the battery.
I used an RF probe on the output with the battery supply I got 5.6V on 14M and 5.3 on 40M These are pretty close. I am wondering if perhaps the W1 is exaggerating the differences? I have since smoked the radio with probe so now will have to replace some components for sure.
