I just finished building the KXPD1 paddle for my KX1. After examining the situation, I really felt that having to solder the wires to the plug after the paddles were on the body would be unnecessarily difficult.
I decided that it would be much easier to attach the wires to the plug first and work on the proper routing of the wires to the paddle circuit boards with the stereo plug inserted in the body of the paddle. I did a lot of position testing of the paddle circuit boards and wire bending, but the results were very nice, and I had plenty of room to work. I think it was a very straightforward way to assemble the KXPD1. ----- 73, Stan - KR7C -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/wiring-the-KX1-paddle-tp7528281p7537316.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
