Hi there fellow Elecrafters; I am very interested in a remote key pad too and with that thought in mind, I took a look through the K3 programming manual to see just what might be great command candidates for a "few extra keys on the side".
Good Grief! There's a whole lot of good stuff there and everything looks like prime rib! What the heck would the most desirable auxiliary key functions be? There must be a few that leap to mind that would ease operation or would be just plane fun to use.
