Stephen, In the USA when you buy something from out of the state you live in, you only save sales tax if the out of state vendor has no offices or outlets in your state. For example, if you buy something direct from Microsoft you will pay sales tax because they have offices in every state in the USA. However if you buy from a VENDOR of their product and that vendor is not in your state, you will pay no sales tax.
