We knew what you meant. I like practicing with the VFO out-of-band rather
than buried under some menu item because you can just glance at the rig and
see END telling you you are not outputing. Otherwise, I wonder how many guys
finish code practice, forget that P=0 and end up wondering why nobody is
answering them.

Small correction, guys. When the KX-1 attempts to transmit out of band (and
doesn't), the display reads "End", not "Error". I was thinking of my VX-2's
response to attempted out of band transmitting. Sorry.
