I'm in the process of installing my KIO2. It does not work. I checked and re-checked all the wiring, location of the components, etc and everything looks good.
My K2 has the Rev A control board so I had to cut the trace and solder some wires (that's the one thing I haven't double-checked yet). I took some voltage readings at the data connector on the back of the radio, here's what I got: Pin 1 - 0 volts Pin 2 - 0 volts Pin 3 - 0 volts Pin 4 - 5.59 volts Pin 5 - 0 volts Pin 6 - 5.70 volts Pin 7 - .01 volts Pin 8 - 14.17 volts Pin 9 - 8.07 volts One of the biggest discrepancies I noticed was Pin 2. According to the manual, it's supposed to be -8 volts, but I get 0. Any suggestions as to where to start looking would be greatly appreciated as I am running out of ideas. Thanks!
