Yes Gary I fondly (?) remember those days ! You also had to carry a spare fuel pump to overcome vapor lock out here in the dessert, on hot days.
You can still buy those dimmer foot switches in auto parts stores. They are usually behind the counter and are listed as a replacement for certain brands and models of older vehicles. They are alternate action switches (very useful for long winded exchanges or while pouring a cup of coffee while calling CQ). They don't require that much pressure and are typically about 1" in diameter in various mounting and terminal configurations. I recently bought one to use as a light dimmer, on my Polaris RZR UTV , a side by side version of an ATV . A parallel hand operated toggle switch in a Momentary-Off- On configuration might be useful also. 73, From a young thinking dinosaur, Chuck, W7CS ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
