Sounds like you need to check the TX Equalizer settings. Tap Menu and scroll to TX EQ. There are 8 EQ bands. Many people seem to have good luck with bands 1&2 set to -16, bands 3-7 around 0, and band 8 at -6 or so. Select each band by tapping 1-8 and adjust using the VFO A knob.
