Yes Paul, the connectors on the sending units are easily changed. All mine have been changed using kits from Morse Express that come with nicely-done interfacing plates to compensate for the pattern change. I've also changed the three antenna connectors on my K3 using these neat little kits.
A caution ... take note of the TRANSMITTER and LOAD labels and the positioning of the cover. You have a 50-50 chance of reversing the labeling if you reverse the cover.
