That's right Bruce, Everyone to their own. I like the 2.8k filter too, and did try the 2.7k filter which you get mandatory in any case. I just preferred the difference I could hear in the tx/rx audio (tx sent back me recorded on test).
I use both the 2.1k & 1.8k and would not give up either. Also use 250hz > cw & rtty.
