As indicated in previous email on this topic, I am in the process of moving my second receiver, filters, autotuner, high temp osc and general band mod from one K3 ser 1391 to another 1526 this weekend.
There are a number of reasons including issues where the K3 1391 has a louder background noise level, issues with operating in digital modes, etc. I do intend to take care of those issues eventually and based on off line discussions with Dick he mentioned that one of the issues related to digital mode problems could be my I/O board related. I just upgraded K3 1526 to include the REMIOUPGD mod and a new 1.8 kHz filter and it works super great. Everything works as it should. My idea is to use the older fine working order I/O board from 1526 and place it in 1391 to see if digital mode issues are fixed. If that older troubled unit has already been modified with the REMIOUPGD I was curious if the older I/O board will work or would potentially cause any issues. Sorry for the long background on this I just wanted to check before surgery begins and augmentation is executed. Thanks, Keith AG6AZ Sent from my iPhone please excuse typos ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
