I was just wondering if I am the only one having troubles with one of the cal
tests....namely the Transmit bias test. It is just not working for me. I posted
on this site, Elecraft's nabble and even sent an email to Elecraft. All post
have netted no comments at all. In the past I have had great response to
questions this time nothing. Well going to try again below is the problem I am
having.
I was attempting to run the transmit bias test and all that is happening is
both for CW and SSB when I press XMIT on the LCD I get a reading of .04A
ranging up to .09A and Q6 below that. The instructions say this test is to
take between 3-10 sec my test was into 1.5 minutes. The LCD just continued to
role between .04A and .09A. I tried SSB and the same thing happend just the
numbers were from .08A-.18A again with Q6 below the reading. I was not getting
an error message and there was nothing on the BNC connector and I did unlock
the TX Bias menu.
