This has been mentioned in the past. My k3 purchased in November 2010 did not have this problem. It did show up later after SW updates. Search the archives and you may find a solution.

I have other rigs with ANF and even a couple of old ANF boxes - all of which do a good job eliminating the interfering signals - generally as well as the K3's ANF. However, only the K3 introduces artifacts or garbling to the receive audio. I have been told by Elecraft, "They (other manufacturers) are no doubt using a different algorithm. Lyle has said he will look into this when he gets a chance." Not being able to leave the ANF engaged all of the time, as I do with other rigs, has reduced the pleasure of using my K3. In the interim of Lyle looking into this, has anyone found settings that workaround this problem?
