Hi all, I normally keep the K3's CW WGT setting at 1.0 because I like the 3:1 Dah:Dit ratio and the 1:1 Dit:Space ratio. When I tried that with the KX3 it sounded horrible to my ears - very choppy. So I set up to measure the Dit, Dah and Space times with an oscilloscope. I can transmit into a dummy load and measure the times easily. The data below is in milliseconds for CW at 20 WPM.

Looking at the data and the graph I can see that for the best match for 3:1 and 1:1 I should set the K3 WGT to 1.05 and the KX3's to 1.15.
