This O.T.'s brain, used to hearing several signals at once in the rx
passband, tries to decode each frequency simultaneously as a separate
signal. So one signal is sending only dits and the other is sending only
dashes!

I'd not want to train my gray matter to consider two different requencies as
one signal. 

It is slightly reminiscent of the "yooping" chirp some of our old one-tube
transmitters produced though, Hi!
