Well, I guess it is new to me. I did not know it was used so long ago. Why not 8 tones....because I have trouble decoding 2 in my head.
I hope everyone enjoyed the diversion. I figured that this group, being a good number of hard core CW operators, would appreciate it. I initially thought of two tones because I was thinking about how you could squeeze a little more speed out of CW by using two dots with different tones instead of a dot and a dash. I admit it is hard to get your brain to recognize it, but after you listen to it for a while it gets easier.
