Reminds me of Diamond BB-7V (vertical) and BB-6W (wire) antennas.
Takes 200W and analyzer gives nice SWR across HF.

We added the length of wire gradually from 6 to 30 meters,
and always better it worked.

What is inside? I had to open it. Plenty of big resistors !
About 5 % of power is possible to get to the wire, 95% goes to
the resistors, which can take the 200W.

If you are QRP, you have made compromise with the power.
Do not make it again with radiation. To compare with
100W and dipole, you have left much less than 1%.
