Well, there's the rub. I've only been able to use a random wire tossed up in a palm tree at my house; CCRs (building covenants) you know.
What I'm planning on doing is getting a Buddipole that I can quickly erect and take down when I want to operate. If I set it up on the balcony of my house with an 8 foot mast; it should end up being about 20 feet off the ground.
