Hi Bill, I think there's over 7000 K3s out there. There's really only a handful of folks writing in about firmware load problems but then there are dozens of replies and meanderings from that one posting. This makes the situation look worse than it is.
Good sense is required as with everything else. The need for a EEINIT is probably never required if the recovery steps followed in the K3 Utility Help File are followed. Cancellation of downloads mid-process always causes difficulties. Using laptops on battery only has been stated as problematic. Not having a configuration backup has been stressed.
