Joe; First thing - with the V1.6 firmware, if you want to restore the default bandmap configuration, power up the KRC2 while holding down the F4 key.
The real KRC2 Configuration Tool is now on the Elecraft web site. Uninstall any other KRC2 COnfig Tool versions and use this one. It should work just fine for you. After trying these two things, if you still cannot get things working, let us know.
