Could you be more specific as to what is and is not working? I have a k3 and a KPA 500 but not a KAT 500. The amplifier works perfectly with my K-3, using the AUX cable. I did have a problem at first which was entirely due to my own stupidity. The amplifier was factory assembled and I did not realize that it was shipped without fuses installed. Consequently when I first attempted to use it, it was deader than a doornail! After I finally remedied that problem everything worked perfectly. I assume your amplifier turns on but does not do anything when attached to the k3 but perhaps you could be a bit more specific about the problem.
