Something to keep in mind, the MAJORITY of major DXpeditions work split 1 to 5 kHz up. If K7C has made any mistakes, it's probably working simplex a few times when things were quiet. Folks in Az to the Pacific coast generally will hear them sooner and louder, but it does not mean that they are having reciprocal propagation. They may be swamped by JAs and hardly hearing a W7 with 5 elements and 2KW. The worst problems are folks calling others lids OTA on top of the DX. What's the point of that? UP sometimes helps, even veterans (who, like me from time to time, have hit RIT instead of XIT or switched out the 2nd VFO). Stuff happens... Patience pays! Don't give up, look for better opportunities... 73, Julius n2wn _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
