I don't use the notch because I only work CW on the ham bands, and I use the "U" indicators, but when I do work phone on MARS frequencies I would like to have the notch width appear between the vertical markers of the "U" as a colored band the same color as the "U" that matched the width of the notch centered on the notch frequency.
Another suggestion: When working MARS frequencies, some of their MARS members have their mic's set as though they are a broadcast station, which tends to make their signals too far to the low side for good phone HF comunication, so I use SHIFT on those stations. It would be nice to be able to see the shift with about a 50% transparent band showing the shift. Niether of the above being a crucial update for me. 73, Tom Amateur Radio Operator N5GE ARRL Lifetime Member QCWA Lifetime Member On Wed, 17 Apr 2013 09:44:26 -0700, Bill Frantz <[email protected]> wrote: >I got this question off list and I thought my answer would be of >wider interest. > >>How do you see effects of 'NOTCH' on the P3? > >Currently you get a wide green band on a blue background of the >band scope which covers the frequencies your current filters are >letting through.
