My K1 S/N 2258 started tuning with "jumps" about 6 months ago. I finally got tired of it so replaced the pot with a new one from Elecraft. The old one was all plastic bourns 3590s-1-104. The new one had a metal shaft. All works like new again now. Am curious whether expected life is any better with the new as compared with the old. BTW, while had the iron out, replaced headphone jack with broken switch for third time. Will now leave headphones plugged in all the time.
