I found (and I can't remember where) a molded cable that had a 3.5mm TRS stereo plug and two longish cables with RCA connectors, one for each speaker. I cut the RCA connectors off. Look for a cable that you can peel apart all the way to the 3.5mm plug.
You can of course solder this up yourself, but molded plugs seem to survive better at my station. http://www.showmecables.com/product/2-5mm-Stereo-Plug-to-Dual-RCA-Plugs-1-5-FT.aspx?gclid=CKjLwufY67cCFbGDQgodZHYAmw http://www.newark.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?SKU=90C0959&CMP=KNC-GPLA&mckv=|pcrid|20115734061|plid| http://www.amazon.com/electronics/dp/B0002KR1OG http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UG823K/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=1535523722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0002KR1OG&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0HC8G8BNKPEQBK78B1TY http://www.vpi.us/cable-audio-rca.html 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of todd ruby Sent: Monday, June 17, 2013 10:52 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Elecraft] external speakers I am trying to install a pair of KLH 970A outboard spkrs to my K3. The back panel of the radio has one ⅛" stereo phone jack. The speakers have a + and - output on each speaker. My question, as dumb as it sounds is, how do I connect the wires from the speakers to the lone ⅛" stereo plug? thanks 73 todd WB2ZAB ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
