Todd,
The best way is to build an adapter. The shell and ring connect to the
right speaker and the shell and tip connect to the left speaker.
Use whatever connectors you want for the speaker end of the adapter, and
build cables to the speakers to match your choice of connectors. The
"-" terminal of the speakers should connect to the shell of the 3.5mm
stereo plug.
You could eliminate the adapter and wire two speaker cables to the
stereo plug eliminating the extra two connectors, but that means if you
want to move things across the room (or elsewhere) the two speakers are
tied together with the speaker cable. If that is not a problem for you,
the "-" conductor for both speaker cables connects to the plug shell,
the "+" conductor for the right speaker connects to the ring and the "+"
conductor for the left speaker connects to the tip.
