I finished assembling my KX-3 late last night, and started playing this morning. My first contact was checking into the OHANA Net (Hawaii). I was given a report of 4-1, which seems pretty good for a trip of 2,686 miles on 12 watts! The surprising part, is that I have the radio transmitting into a Gap Eagle, which has never performed all that well for me. One day soon, I may need to use some of the tower parts I have been collecting and put a tri-bander in the air.
