An excellent idea. It's not just Elecraft that do this; Kantronics established a radio connection in a DB9 many years back for their TNC cables. No RS232 signals present at all - audio and power and PTT! > Looks like a opportunity for somebody to venture into the commercial world > with a "CONVERSION PLUG" for the K2?? Hmm.
