Yes, Mozilla officially no longer supports Thunderbird, but there are still occasional updates, strange as it may seem. Current version is 17.0.7. It's an excellent mail client, and has a plug-in calendar and scheduler. My preferred mail client prior to switching to Thunderbird was Eudora... Qualcomm long ago stopped supporting it, but it's still used by a number of power users. Although Outlook is firmly entrenched in industry and academia, I personally dislike the program, and refuse to use it.

Sri for the reply to the OT thread...

This is timely for me. I have been looking for a decent email client to use on
my Windows7 computer. I find Windows Live Mail hard to work with. I like
Outlook Express because it is fast and efficient to use. However, it is
history. (I have tons of stuff saved that I don't want to lose.) I understand
Outlook only comes on Pro versions. I don't know if it will get phased out.

I have read that Mozilla is no longer supporting Thunderbird. I hate to bring
this OT, but a problem is upon us. I have done some reading, and find nothing
strong.
